Damascus, (SANA) – Chairman of the State Planning Commission Dr. Taisir al-Raddawi and Undersecretary of Municipalities and Agriculture at Abu Dhabi Municipality Juma'a Mubarak Juma'a al-Junaibi signed on Monday an agreement on establishing Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayid al-Nahyan Medical Center in Syria.
This center, a gift from Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayid al-Nahyan to the Syrian people, costs 100 million USD and contains all medical specializations.
In a statement to SANA, Minister of Health Dr. Maher al-Hussami underlined the importance of this project, adding that the Ministry is studying the idea location for establishing the center which will be run by the Ministry of Health as an independent establishment.
For his part, al-Junaibi affirmed that the center participates in bolstering bilateral cooperation between Syria and the UAE, adding that the center will also include a commercial project that benefits the center.
The signing ceremony was attended by UAE Ambassador in Damascus Yousef Muhammad al-Madfaii.
