DAMASCUS, SANA _at the conclusion of the meetings of the Syrian-Jordanian Agricultural Joint Committee which was held Monday, the Agriculture Ministers in the two countries signed the Executive Program of Agricultural cooperation between the them for the years 2008 and 2009.
The Executive Program aims at enhancing the joint cooperation in serving agricultural productions with its two botanical and animal sections in Syria and Jordan.
It includes cooperation in the agricultural researches, benefiting from the two countries' experiences in the fields of improving olives oil, waters usage, seeds, modern irrigation, improving the animal resources and producing new kinds of wheat and barley, in addition to the cooperation in the fields of botanical production, planets protection, animal health, animal production, veterinarian medicines and exchanging expertise and cadres training in the agricultural domain between the two countries.
Minister of Agriculture Adel Safar and his Jordanian counterpart Muzahim Muhaisin stressed that the executive program will boost joint cooperation and enhance bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.
They pointed out to the importance of the agricultural integrity between Syria and Jordan and generalizing this experience to include all the Arab countries in order to reach a unified vision on the way of achieving the Arab food security.
They also expressed relief for the growing agricultural relations between the two countries which is considered an example to be followed.
