Aleppo , (SANA)-
Under the patronage of President Bashar al-Assad , Prime Minister , Mohammed Naji Otri inaugurated on Friday a project for irrigating 14 thousand hectares of Ifrin area , and the five pumping stations and the main channel of that vital and important project.
The prime minister listened to a detailed review of the project and its socio-economic feasibility.
Following a field visit to the project, Otri underlined that the project will reflect positively on the agricultural development and on the various kinds of the strategic production particularly , cotton , sugar cane , grains , fruits and vegetables.
It is worth mentioning to say that olive trees will cover 52 percent of the 14 hectares , 31 percent for other cereals , and the rest for vegetables.
