Minister of Tourism , Saadallah Agha Qalaa, discussed this morning with his Cypriot counterpart, Antonios Paskhilidis ,prospects of cooperation and how to present Syria and Cyprus as a joint tourist destination .
During the meeting , Qalaa described tourism between the two countries as integrated and not competitive, underlining the importance of gearing the efforts investing the potentials of both countries for the activation of tourists coming from remote places such as China , India and Russia and even Europe.
For his part the Cypriot Minister reviewed the experience of Cyprus in tourism and the infrastructure , stressing his country's desire for cooperation with Syria , particularly in finding common tourist products.
The two sides agreed to organize a workshop soon to lay down the basis and procedures for bilateral coordination in promotion of joint tourist programs.
