Damascus, (SANA) – The Abdulaziz Saud al-Babtin Award Foundation announced on Monday at al-Assad National Library in Damascus the names of winners in its 11th bi-annual poetry contest.

In the framework of Damascus as the Capital of Arab Cultural for the year 2008, an Evening of Songs was organized by a Syrian-Moroccan Band, Wajd, at the Syrian Cultural Center in Paris yesterday.

Minister of Culture , Riad Naasan Agha on Thursday chaired a preparatory meeting for opening the house of Emir Abdul-Kader Aljazaeri as museum simultaneously with holding the meetings of the Syrian –Algerian Higher Committee.
