Syrian Educational TV Satellite Channel Launches its Educational Service

Damascus, (SANA) – The Syrian Ministry of Education launched on Sunday the Syrian Educational TV Satellite Channel on Arabsat as part of its educational development program.

The channel presents educational lessons for basic education and high school students and children, in addition to educational, cultural, scientific and general family programs.

The channel broadcasts 14 hours a day from10:00 AM to 05:00 PM, with programs repeated from 05:00 PM to 12:00 midnight.

The programs are directed to Syrian and Arab viewers of all ages and the family in general, in addition to students of all levels and Arab students in foreign countries, teachers, and people interested in learning Arabic.

The channel will broadcast programs co-produced by the Syrian Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Information (Syrian Television), in addition to programs produced by the local and Arab private sector and translated and dubbed foreign programs.

The staff of the Educational Channel is composed of a selected group of administrative and technical talents, most of them from the Ministries of Education and Information.

The channel aims to bolster the educational process by producing quality programs for all education levels, increase the skills and capabilities of staff in the educational field and cause a positive change in the concept of methods of education.

It also aims to spread Arab culture and teach Arabic to non-speakers, spread educational awareness among all social groups and reduce the differences between schools in varied social and educational environments, in addition to relieving families' burdens through the lessons it provides and helping in the elimination of illiteracy.
