The Activities of English Language Teaching Methods 8th Conference Kick Off

 Damascus,(SANA)-
Minister of Higher Education , Giyath Barakat, opened on Saturday the activities of English Language Teaching Methods 8th Conference For Non-Speakers , which was organized in cooperation with the British Cultural Council in Damascus.
In his opening address , Barakat , underlined the big attention given by the state to the languages teaching institutes at the various Syrian universities .
He indicated that such a conference is considered as a living example of the standing fruitful cooperation with the British Cultural Council which has resulted so far in a number of joint projects , the most important of which is the program of building the capabilities of the teaching staff at the Syrian universities.
For her part, Director of the British Cultural Council , Elizabeth White, underlined the importance of cooperation and Syria's standing support to such cooperation which has yielded a number of projects that have contributed to the development skills and expertise of English language teaching at the Syrian universities.
