Damascus, (SANA)- Minister of Culture Dr. Riad Na'asan Agha on Wednesday discussed with Iraqi Deputy Minister of Culture Fawzi al-Atroushi and the accompanying delegation ways of enhancing the cultural exchange between the two sisterly countries for the interest of the Arab culture in general.
The Minister stressed that the cultural relations between Syria and Iraq had never stopped even under most difficult times, pointing out that what is needed is to deepen the elements of common culture between Syria and Iraq which had started as far as history.
Minister Na'asan Agha expressed the hope that the Iraqi Cultural Days, which will be held as part of 'Damascus, Capital of Arab Culture 2008 Festivity,' would constitute a new basis for enhancing the cultural ties between the two countries.
