Syrian –Swiss and Syrian-French Archeological Missions Start Excavation Works in Palmyra

Palmyra,(SANA)-
The Syrian-Swiss archeological mission yesterday started off excavation works at the site of Bir Hamal and Nadwiya in Palmyra.
Director of Palmyra Ruins , Walid Asaad ,told reporters that the mission would expand geological detection to determine the exact geological time age of the archeological layers to support the archeological data of the archeological discoveries.
Furthermore, the Syrian-French archeological mission also started off excavation works at the site of Kom area , 120 km to the northern –east of Palmyra.
It is noteworthy to say that the Syrian-French mission had earlier discovered the remains of a skull that date back to half a million years .
