Paris, (SANA)- Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Abdullah al-Dardari discussed Tuesday with French Minister of Economy, Finance and Employment Mrs. Christine Lagarde cooperation between Syria and France in the economic, Finance and technical fields.
During the meeting, both sides agreed to prepare cooperation files in the economic domains before the expected visit of the French President Sarkozy to Damascus next September.
Dardari and Lagarde also agreed that the French Economy and Finance Ministry will offer direct financial and technical aid to the developmental and investment projects launched by French enterprises in Syria.
"Ties between Syria and France will witness great progress in the field of economic cooperation with the visit of President Sarkozy to Damascus," Lagarde told SANA correspondent in Paris, describing talks with Dardari as excellent and promising.
"During the meeting, we discussed all requirements to improve and develop economic relations between Syria and France through exchanging expertise in the field of administrations," she added.
