Syria and India to Boost Industrial Cooperation

DAMASCUS, (SANA)-Minister of Industry Fouad Issa Al-Jouni has underlined the necessity to complete the producers related to the Indian Loan for the development of Hama Iron Company.

During a meeting Sunday with Director General of Export- Import Bank of India and the accompanying delegation, Jouni stressed the need to speed up procedures of the Indian loan which amounts to USD 25 millions to develop Hama Iron Company in Syria.

Jouni also discussed with Tata- Mumbai Chemical Company the possibility of establishing joint projects between Syria and India .

The Indian side presented the ability of establishing an integrated fertilizer Factory to produce Phosphoric Acid DAP, UREA, AND Ammonia depending on the reserves of the Syrian phosphate and the natural gas.
