The Monetary and Credit Council issued a recent decision whereby the Syrian resident or non-resident citizens to open an account to obtain and internationally payable card with a sum that doesn't exceed USD 10.000 or its equivalent of Syria or other hard currencies.
Governor of the Central Bank of Syria ,CBS, told reporters today that card would provide an easy way for paying within and outside Syria in any currency whereby the Syrian citizens can pay for their travel expenses , medical treatment , or education abroad in addition to subscribing for monthly periodical and magazines , avoiding the danger of carrying cash money.
