DAMASCUS, (SANA)- Minister of Trade and Economy Dr. Amre Hosni Lutfi underlined that development of the Syrian-French relations in all domains will contribute to increase volume of the trade exchange, investment opportunities and consolidate the cooperation between businessmen of the two friendly countries.
During a meeting Thursday with a French Parliamentary Delegation headed by Chairman of the French-Syrian Parliamentary Friendship Group at the French Senate Philippe Marini, Lutfi reviewed situation of the Syrian economy and the current steps of the economic reforms in Syria through an integrated and deliberated program regarding the liberation of the foreign trade and the improvement of the atmosphere of investment.
Lutfi also pointed out to the positive atmospheres and facilities given by the government to the investment environment, asserting importance of the Syrian market, since Syria has acceded the agreement of Greater Arab Free Trade Area (GAFTA) and linked to Trade Zone Agreement with Turkey.
For his part, Marini underscored his country's desire to boosting and activating the relations with Syria in all domains to serve interest of the two friendly peoples.
