Homs, central Syria , (SANA)-Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Abdullah al-Dardari underlined the importance of adopting the economic reform as a necessary procedure and to encourage the establishment of developmental projects.
In a meeting held Wednesday in Homs city, central Syria, in the presence of directors of the departments, institutions, companies and local officials in Homs Governorate, al-Dardari added that the government is ready to develop the laws and methods to boost the investment due to its important role in growth rates.
He pointed out to the necessity of giving variety to the investments from energy to the agricultural development , tourism, house and medical waste treatment, infrastructures and real-estates.
He called for an investment day in Homs before end of the year through offering ready projects to investment and making use of new projects to east Homs in Al-Frouqlous area and eastern Homs during which Homs new refinery will be established, a center for Arab gas project and phosphates industries which will cost two USD billions in exchange for exports with 2 USD billions within a year after drawing Euphrates waters to Palmyra, al-Frouqlous, phosphate mines and to the industrial city of Hasia.
