Paris, (SANA)- Mrs. Asmaa al-Assad  took part in crowning a 20 years of work at the Paris-based Arab World Institute which displayed a Syrian art of work that won the competition organized by the Institute on this occasion.

The event was attended by the French Minister of Culture and a crowd of prominent diplomatic, cultural and economic figures.

The work of art is by innovated by sculpture Musstafa Ali, and was chosen among 35 Arab arts of work, representing symbols of Arab heritage and history engraved on a 36-meters area of a 4-ton painting.

Mrs. Asmaa stressed that art is the mirror of culture in a country, as well as a world language that documents human history and civilization. She added that this work of art stresses importance of Syrian presence in the world cultural scene and its role in enhancing communication between the Arab and European civilizations.

For his part, artist Musstafa Ali expressed pleasure over the participation of Mrs. Asmaa in this occasion, pointing out to the importance of her permanent support to the Syrian artists and innovators in and out of the homeland.
