PARIS, SANA –Foreign Minister Walid al-Moalem held discussions with his French counterpart Bernard Kouchner on the bilateral relations between Syria and France and the latest developments in the Middle East, particularly in Lebanon, Palestine and in Iraq.
Talks, during the dinner banquet held on honor of al-Moallem Friday, touched upon the underway preparations for holding the summit of Union for the Mediterranean scheduled in Paris on 13 July.
Talks also dealt with the Syrian-European relations and France important role in pushing them forward since France chairs the current session of the EU.
