DOHA, SANA –Syria and Qatar on Monday signed an Additional Protocol to the Agreement of organizing employment of the Syrian workers in Qatar and a Memo of Understanding of cooperation in the work field.

Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Diala Hajj Aref signed the agreement on the Syrian side and Qatari Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Sultan Hasan al-Dhabit al-Dusari on the Qatari one.

In a statement to the press, Hajj Aref said " Signing the memo aims at boosting the common cooperation and improving the work relations between the two countries. It is a completion of the labor and social cooperation agreement."

She briefed the Qatari side on the Syrian experience in the field of social aid and means of limiting poverty through offering periodical aid for a definite group of people according to definite criteria.

Later, the Syrian Minister toured the Qatari Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and listen to a review on the activities of the Ministry and its main establishments.
