Syrian Cultural Week kicks off in Sana'a

SANA'A, SANA _Activities of the Syrian Cultural Week was kicked off in Sana'a Sunday. Culture Minister Riyad Nassan Agha stressed the deep standing cooperation between Syria and Yemen. Agha stressed the necessity of cultural rapprochement among the Arab countries, pointing out to the important role of the Arab intellectuals and writers in enhancing this rapprochement. For his part, Yemeni Culture Minister Mohammed Abu Baker al-Maflahi stressed the importance of establishing the Syrian Cultural Week in Sana'a as "best expression of the unity of the Arab culture". On the sideline of the Syrian Cultural Week which was opened in Sana'a Sunday, Agha and al-Maflahi opened the Books, Plastic Arts, Syrian Handcrafts Industries, hand-making carpets and photography Exhibitions.
