Sana'a (SANA)- The Syrian-Yemeni Committee, co-chaired by Syrian Prime Minister Mohammad Naji Ottri and his Yemeni counterpart Ali Mohammad Mujawar, concluded meetings in Sana'a on Sunday by signing the Minutes of their 8th session and a series of agreements and Memos of Understandings and cooperation protocols.
The documents covered several fields in economy, trade, education, electricity, health, information and banking.
The Political Minutes reflected both countries' keenness on maintaining Arab cooperation and coordination to confront the existing challenges and dangers threats facing the Arab nation.
The two sides stressed commitment to the just and comprehensive peace as a strategic option as part of the Arab initiative peace, necessity of maintaining the Palestinian people's national unity and dialogue among the Palestinian factions.
The Minutes called on the international community to stop the genocide and siege imposed on the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip.
The Syrian side voiced content over the Yemeni initiative to solve the inter-Palestinian disputes.
On Lebanon, the two sides expressed readiness to exert efforts to solve the Lebanese political crisis on the basis of the Arab initiative to achieve the national accord.
On Iraq, they expressed commitment to the unity of the country, freedom, independence and Arab belonging, stressing importance of dialogue among all the Iraqis and the necessity of outlining a timetable for the end of foreign occupation there.
The two countries stressed necessity of turning the Middle East into an area free from all kinds of mass destruction weapons, and necessity of forcing Israel to join the Non Proliferation treaty.
They also pointed out to the rights of countries in the peaceful use of the nuclear energy.
Syria and Yemen stressed support to Sudan's efforts to establish security and stability in Darfur to maintain the country's independence and territorial integrity.
