Sana'a, (SANA) – Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh affirmed during his meeting with Syrian Prime Minister Mohammad Naji Ottri the strength and depth of relations and bonds between Syria and Yemen.

Ottri relayed the greetings of President al-Assad to President Saleh and his best wishes of prosperity to the Yemeni people. In turn, President Saleh sent his regards and best wishes to President al-Assad and the Syrian people.

President Saleh affirmed that Syria and its leadership and people have a special place in the hearts of the Yemeni people, praising Syria's stances regarding national, regional and international issues.

Premier Ottri and his Yemeni counterpart Ali Mohammad Mujawar briefed President Saleh on the results of the Syrian-Yemeni Joint Higher Committee meetings and the issues that were discussed.

President Saleh called for following-up and coordinating between the two countries governments in order to increase trade exchange and expand joint projects and investments.

The meeting also discussed Arab and regional developments and the two countries' stances regarding them.
