Damascus,(SANA)- Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan began before noon today a visit to Syria during which he is scheduled to hold talks on boosting bilateral relations and , on regional and international issues. He is also scheduled to participate in the 1st Syrian –Turkish Economic Forum which will be attended by700 Turkish businessmen. He was received at Damascus Int. Airport by Prime Minister , Mohommed Naji Otri, Deputy Premier for Economic Affairs, and Ministers of Irrigation , Economy and Trade, Oil and Mineral Resources , Electricity, and Industry. Erdogan is being accompanied by an official delegation comprised of Deputy premier for Economic Affairs, and Minister of State for Foreign Trade, and a large number of advisors and technicians. Prior to his departure to Syria, Erdogan expressed to reporters his satisfaction over the remarkable development of bilateral relations in recent years. He added that Turkey had been working to develop bilateral relations in all fields , expressing confidence that such a visit will contribute to boosting bilateral economic , trade and political relations between the two countries.
