Belgian Ambassador in Damascus, Syria and Belgium … Future Relations

DAMASCUS, (SANA)- Belgium's Ambassador in Damascus Dirk Loncke held yesterday evening a reception on the occasion of Belgium's National Day. In a statement to SANA reporter, the Ambassador said that the two Syrian and Belgian governments are planning to sign two agreements next October on the double taxation and on protecting and boosting joint investments, pointing out that the two governments will work in coming next years to boost bilateral relations, especially the economic fields. "The Belgian diplomacy will act to bring close viewpoints between the two countries, to deepen the joint understanding and to open the channels of communication between them on more than one level, particularly in the tourist field," he added. Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Dialla Hajj Aref, Minister of Transport Yarub Badr , Rector of Damascus University, a number of Foreign Ministry's senior officials in addition to economic cultural and media representatives attended the reception.
