DAMASCUS, SANA _ Speaker of the People's Assembly Mahmoud al-Abrash on Tuesday offered condolences on the victims of the earthquake that hit Sichuan province in China and claimed the lives and injured ten thousands of peoples.
In a written latter at the Chinese Embassy in Damascus, al-Abrash expressed heartfelt condolences to the Chinese people, the Chinese Parliament and to the families of the victims who are killed by the natural disaster that hit China, wishing recovery for the injured peoples.
He voiced Syria's support to China, expressing confidence that the Chinese people will surmount this plight and continue their development and prosperity process.
