Deputy Premier for Economic Affairs, Abdullah Dardari , has indicated that building materials industry has become a competitive and valuable industry in Syria.
During his tour yesterday in Buildex Exhibition , he told reporters that the specialized exhibitions had been playing an attractive factor for investors.
He added that following the first Industrial Conference the industrial growth rate has exceeded 20 percent annually and that the Syrian industrial exports reached a record of more than 6 billions in 2007, in addition to the increase of the volume of industrial investments which can be noticed in the already existing industrial cities.
He indicated that the 2nd Industrial Conference which is scheduled to be held on current May 25th will give a new momentum to the industrial sector.
