DAMASCUS, (SANA)-The General Federation of Trade Unions (GFTU) in Syria renewed support of the Syrian workers to the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in the face of racism, oppression, killings and destruction perpetrated by Israel against the Palestinian people.
In a statement published Thursday on the 60th anniversary of the occupation of Palestine , the Union said that steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their rejection of displacement plots served as a bright point as the catastrophe failed to cancel their identity or stop their resistance for their lands and keeping their issue alive.
For their part, the Arab teachers underlined their solidarity with the Palestinian people in the face of Zionism till the end of the occupation, liberating the land, restoration of all the legitimate rights and establishment of the independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
Secretariat-General of the Arab Teachers Union said Thursday in a statement that the occupation of Palestine will not affect the determination of the Palestinian people.
It added that the past six decades were full of Palestinian sacrifices and steadfastness in the face of the Israeli occupation and its brutal crimes.
