Syria and UN Population Fund boost cooperation

DAMASCUS, (SANA)-

 

Information Minister Mohsen Bilal has stressed the media's important role in the field of consciousness regarding issues connected with inhabitants and development.

During his meeting with Lina Moussa, Resident Representative of the Population Fund affiliated to the United Nations UNPF, Bilal expressed his Ministry's readiness to cooperate with the UN program, pointing out to the necessity for setting an overall strategy to enhancing the development process in Syria.

For her part, Moussa said that cooperation between Syria and the UNPF will contribute in achieving important achievements in the issues of inhabitants and reproduction health in Syria.

The two sides agreed on activating cooperation and setting suitable plans to make the 7th Regional Cooperation Program between Syria and the UNPF, which is scheduled to be kicked off soon, success.
