Bilal: Visit of President al-Assad to Paris is Historical Event
DAMASCUS, (SANA)-Information Minister Mohsen Bilal has underlined Syria's firm stance regarding the establishment of just and comprehensive peace in the region.
In an interview aired Monday evening by Syrian TV Satellite Channel, Bilal underscored the necessity of the restoration of all Arab rights including regaining the occupied Syrian Golan the 4th of June 1967 line, Sheba Farms, Kfar Shouba, the establishment of the Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital and the return of the Palestinian refugees to their home.
He stressed that visit of President al-Assad to Paris is historical, since Paris is, currently, capital of the European Union , Francophone and the Mediterranean- European Partnership. " The visit constitutes a prominent event on the international and regional level,"
The Minister indicated that the events have proved rightness and credibility of Syria's vision , pointing out to the big successes achieved under the leadership of President al-Assad. " Syria is working to bridge the Arab gap and restore the Arab solidarity,"
Bilal pointed out that the current French administration, through its relations with Syria, has confirmed that Syria is an important and strategic country in the region.
On the relation with Lebanon , he asserted Syria's keenness on establishing distinguished relations with Lebanon on all levels.
